Swim 500 yards, Bike 15.5 miles, Run 3.1 miles

Location: Hickory Grove Beach

Course Info: Out and back swim followed by a bike loop and a 3.1 mile run. The run is mostly flat and the first half mile is on grass.

Directions:

From Ames, IA or the East: Travel east on Hwy 30 18 miles to 680th Ave. (about 7-8 miles past Nevada, IA) and turn south or right. Travel 1 mile south and take a right on 250th St. Then travel .5 miles to park entrance on your left.

From the West: Travel to Hwy 30 and go west. Turn south or left on 680th Ave.(about 1.5 miles west of Colo, IA). Travel 1 mile south and take a right on 250th St. Then travel .5 miles to park entrance on your left.
