The Sandy Island Beach to Selkirk Shores State Park Triathlon was held on July 17th 2005. The race was held it Up-State New York. The 750 yard swim was in Lake Ontario, entering the the water at Sandy Island Beach State Park. The 21 mile bike ride traveled through two communities: Sandy Creek & Pulaski and ended at Selkirk Shores State Park. The 5 mile run was held in the Park at Selkirk Shores. The run was mainly trail running, but also did incorporate some macadam path and park roads. We had an excellent day for the race. The weather was great for the race with mid 80's temperature.
