Greater Cleveland Triathlon Update

    

Less Than A Month To Race Day

 

(Cleveland, Ohio) - With one month to go before the Greater Cleveland Triathlon, you will have one more chance to attend our group training session sponsored by the Cleveland Triathlon Club, Bike Authority and Fleet Feet Sports - Northfield. The session will be on Saturday, July 23rd at 9:15 AM in Lot #17. There will also be a Youth Development component for this training session and would encourage youths ranging in age from 7 - 14 to join us. You do not need to be entered in the race to participate. Remember that rest is also part of your training so don't forget to bring you beach towel and sunscreen!

 

Registration & Packet Pickup - Saturday August 13, 11:OO AM to 6:00 PM - Final registration and packet pickup will be on Saturday, August 13, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We will start the packet pickup just after completion of the Youth Triathlon Celebration Ceremony. There will be one day USAT memberships available for $9.00 for those of you who will need to purchase one. There will also have a sports and fitness expo with a number of our event sponsors participating

Dellarco Enterprises with Panera Bread Stores located in both Mentor and Chagrin Falls will be an "Official" Food Sponsor for the Greater Cleveland Triathlon. We are proud to have them as a food sponsor and I am sure that you will also appreciate the many good bakery items they will provide.

 

Cleveland Triathlon Club Team Picture -

Cleveland Triathlon Club members who attend the Awards Ceremony at the Greater Cleveland Triathlon, should wear your CTC uniform or your CTC t-shirt with the new club logo for a team picture!

 

Ironman USA - Lake Placid 2006 Slots -

If you indicated that you would like to be eligible for the Ironman Slots for Lake Placid 2006, you should come prepared with your check book in the event that you are selected to receive a slot.

 

Course Captains - These are the people that make it happen -

While it takes a number of volunteers to make an event like this work. The real force behind the success of the event are the course captains. Look for Mary Winter who is the swim course captain. Daniel Steffancin the bike course captain and Amy Rak of Fleet Feet Northfield who is the run course captain. If you know of anyone who would like to volunteer please send us an email at GCTriathlon@aol.com with where they would like to volunteer and the hours that they might be available. Thanks to our course captains and the many people who have already signed up to volunteer.
