The venue
Cirencester Park is part of the Bathurst Estate close to the centre of the
Cotswold Town of Cirencester, between Gloucester and Swindon on the A417/A419.
The Earl Lord Bathurst has kindly let us use a quiet area of the park for this
event. Mountain biking is not usually allowed in the park so please do not ride
in the park prior to the event. There are toilets and running water on
site, but no showers.
The course
A two lap cross country run on grass and wooded trails (short event one
lap). Then depart for a four lap mountain bike ride on muddy wooded trails,
with a grass section at the end of each lap (short event two laps). The final
run is over the same course as the first run. In both the main and short
event the emphasis is on FUN but the long event is tough.
Entry
Cashing of cheque confirms entry to race. Race information will be
sent out 10-14 days prior to the event. Withdrawals must inform us in writing
- 80% refund given up to 14 days prior to event. Postal entries taken up to
three days prior to event. Field limited so enter soon! If limit not reached we
will take entries on the day but an extra fee of £3 per entry will be taken.

Long event 2 miles - 10 miles - 2 miles/relay/prizes
Open to anyone who can cover the distance, please note it will be muddy,
with some hills so be prepared to be out a lot longer than if you are on road
or gravel trails. Relay teams should be made up of one runner and one cyclist
male or female.Minimum age 17 by 31.12.2003.Prizes will be awarded to first
five open men and first three open women. First two male and female 40 +,
first male and female 50+ and first relay team.
Short/youth event 1 mile - 5 miles - 1 mile/prizes
Entrants to this event must be aged 14 or over by race day. Short
event aimed at all abilities including anyone who likes to keep fit for fun or
who fancies a new challenge. A prize will be awarded to the first youth
14 -16 years male and female as at 31/12/03. Also first male and female aged
17+ and first 40+ male/female as at 31/12/03.

Will be on triathletes home page: www.triathletes-uk.org. If you
require printed results posted to you please provided extra SAE.
